EP : EU Ocean Pact Social Event
On October 2nd at 18:00, Christophe Clergeau will host a social event dedicated to the EU Oceans Pact in presence of MEPs, civil society organisations, stakeholders and other officials.
Taking place during the 2024 Ocean Week, the event is a chance to dive into the future of EU Ocean policy together. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has committed to presenting during this new term an ambitious EU Ocean Pact, and this social event will be a first opportunity to start work on this important file by bringing together all the interested parties, in the European Parliament.
The evening will kick off with short remarks from representatives of key stakeholders from the public and private sphere. The event will highlight Parliament's dedication to placing ocean at the heart of EU decision-making in this new term, bringing together newly elected MEPs, key decision-makers, and ocean advocates to spotlight the critical next steps for policymakers to endorse in the next EU mandate.
The event will be held at the Former Members Bar, and Christophe Clergeau looks forward to seeing you there until 20:00!
