Gender equality is a fundamental principle of the European Union that must be reaffirmed in our foreign policy. However, women's rights organisations, despite their indispensable role, remain vastly underfunded. Participants will discuss the importance of reprioritising gender equality in the next EU budget, particularly within the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
Organised in partnership with ODI Europe, the discussion will bring together MEPs, representatives from the European Commission, diplomats, experts, as well as activists and civil society leaders.
